The story of Sean & Brittany - From DMs to ‘I Do’
Brittany & Sean
THE FULL STORY
Ah, the age-old tale of romance… boy meets girl… on Facebook Dating. Yep, you read that right. Not Tinder, not Bumble—Facebook. We know what you're thinking: “Wait, Facebook has a dating section?” Trust us, we get that every single time.
But hey, somehow between birthday reminders and baby photos, we found each other.
Sean made the first move—naturally. He wasn’t about to let a catch like Brittany scroll on by. Fast forward to the next day, and they were clinking glasses at The Whining Pig speakeasy, Pigtails. Brittany went for a smoky mezcal (because she’s cool like that), and Sean? Whiskey, of course—because some things never change.
The vibe? Immaculate. Smiles, laughs, some top-tier flirting. Sparks were definitely flying—basically a rom-com but with better drinks.
Sean, being the smooth operator he is, wasted no time. He locked in a second date for that very Friday with reservations at Culinary Dropout. Yes, reservations. Brittany was impressed—because what millennial woman isn’t mildly swooned by a man with an OpenTable account?
Now, here’s where things got interesting: that night, Sean shot his shot and asked Brittany to be his girlfriend. Bold. Romantic. Slightly ahead of schedule.
Brittany, ever the free spirit, wasn’t quite ready… but only needed one more week to come to her senses. (We like to think of it as a “limited-time trial period.”)
Over the next few months, things got real. Like, “meet the family” real. “Our friends are already planning the wedding in their group chat” real. They were basically glued at the hip—in the cute way, not the clingy way.
They took trips, made memories, and hit that sweet spot of “Wow, I’ve never been this happy” without needing a therapist to say it first. Blah blah, romance, cuddles, heart eyes—you get the picture.
Fast forward to Brittany’s birthday weekend— They took a trip to Oceanside followed by Disneyland. But before the churros came… the beach. Sean had been scheming for months with Brittany’s parents and her ride-or-die, Julianna. Brittany knew a proposal was coming (she’s observant, okay?), but what she didn’t expect was just how epic it would be. And to be clear—she was ready. Ring style? Already picked out. Nails? Done days in advance. The girl came prepared.
The plan started at Brittany’s favorite taco shop/brewery (tacos and beer? No better way to prepare for a proposal). After a couple tacos and a well-timed buzz, they were ready for the main event. That is… until Brittany’s buzz set in and she needed a detour to the bathroom - it nearly threw off the whole sunset schedule. - Okay that is an exaggeration but everyone was anxiously waiting for the next part of the plan!
Down the beach steps they went—and boom: a sandcastle, a dreamy sunset, happy tears, and THE RING! Sean got down on one knee, there were photographers and people everywhere. Neither Sean or Brittany could remove the smile from their faces the rest of the night. It was like a Nicholas Sparks movie—but better, because this time it was real (and no one died at the end). Brittany still says it was the best proposal ever.
And now? That’s what brings us all here—THEY’RE GETTING MARRIED!
From our first couple of dates, I already knew something about Sean felt different. I never stopped smiling when I was around him. He’s patient, funny, and endlessly kind—being with him just makes everything feel a little lighter, a little easier. I knew pretty early on that he was my forever. Not that life hasn’t thrown us its challenges but Sean is my forever constant. I absolutely cannot wait to marry him.

I fell in love with my to be wife on our first date. It wasn’t dramatic—no fireworks or slow-motion movie moments. It was the way she laughed, the way she really listened, the way time folded in on itself while we talked like we’d known each other forever. By the end of the night, I knew: this was it. This was her. My beginning and everything after.

Going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married✨
